The 2026 Service Design Salary Report represents a massive leap forward—evolving into a much more expanded, interactive, and user-friendly data platform. As the volume of data grew, we needed a scalable solution for presenting nuanced insights. But we are just getting started.

We are constantly thinking about how to make this report more useful. Here are a few ideas we are currently playing with for future updates.

Chat with Your Data

We are prototyping a conversational interface that lets you ask questions directly to the dataset.

• "What is the median salary for a Senior Service Designer in Canada?"
• "Show me the gender pay gap trends for freelancers over the last 3 years."

Deeper Work-Life Balance Insights

We plan to add cross-country comparisons for Work Hours and Ikigai (Purpose). We want to visualize not just where people earn the most, but where they are the happiest and most balanced.

If you are a returning reader, you might notice things look different this year. Here are the major features we delivered in this edition:

• 🌍 Dynamic Currency Conversion: No more mental math. You can now convert all salary data into your local currency (EUR, GBP, CAD, and 160+ others) instantly using real-time exchange rates.
• 🛡️ Privacy Firewall: We implemented a rigorous new privacy standard. Cohorts with small sample sizes respondents are automatically masked, allowing us to share more global data without compromising individual anonymity.
• 📊 Interactive Sorting: You can now sort charts by "Value" (Highest to Lowest) or "Natural" order, helping you spot trends in seniority and industry data faster.
• 📥 Chart Exports: Need a slide for your boss? You can now download high-resolution, PNG version of our charts directly from the report.
• 📈 New Chapters: We added deep dives into Promotions, Salary Raises, and In-House Impact to answer the specific questions you asked last year.
